• End of the year schedule at the town hall.
  Due to the holidays time the secretariat will exceptionally be open to the public from 9am to noon and closed in the afternoon on Friday 24 and 31 December 2010.
• Telethon : 2800 Euros given to the AFM (French Association against Myopathy).
  The numerous walkers coming from Reignier have defied cold and snow on their journey being welcomed on arrival by the Savoieses’ries (a local band).

• The Telethon is getting ready.
  A meeting has taken place at the townhall in Reignier in order to set up the program for the upcoming Telethon on 3 and 4 December.
• Let us dare with OSER and its local artisans and tradespeople! (OSER meaning DARE, also the initial letters for the association OSER Organisation of a Regional Economic Structure).
  Through the association OSER of the Reignier district, an exhibition composed of the local artisans and tradespeople has been organised in the village hall.
• Week of taste at the village school
  The week of taste has it good: you learn, you cook and you have a treat.

• Dump of bulky items
  Saturday 23 October 2010 from 8am to 6pm only: skips available for bulky items (fridge, cooker, mattress, scrap iron, etc...)
• The commune of La Muraz offers for rent...
  The commune of La Muraz offers for rent a one-room apartment of 36.11 square meters located on the first floor of the former dairy.

• The commune is hiring a multi-purpose servant for its technical services for 6 months.
  The post is to be filled from 1 November 2010 to April 2011.
• On 5 September 2010 accidental death of Jean-Philippe BOCQUET and Christian DUBOULOZ at the Tacul, Mont-Blanc.
  A great deal of emotion and sadness when hearing of the news and at the funeral.

• Second edition of the garage sale and first exhibition «Our inhabitants are talented»!
  The idea of a garage sale for individuals may seem common in the commune, still the former edition was a real success.
• A blossoming summer, another go for the flower contest!
  Initially planned to reward the efforts of the individuals to flower their own houses this contest aims at encouraging every action taken to make our village more pleasant and welcoming.

• Major refurbishment works at the nursery school.
  Taking advantage of the summer holidays major works are planned at the kindergarten. This building is the oldest one and requires many alterations in both rooms (classroom and restroom), the entrance hall and the toilets.

• New secretary at the town hall since 1 June 2010.
  A new smile at the town hall! Some have already made the acquaintance of the new town hall secretary, Sylvie Reynaud.
• Mini-football tournament on Saturday on the sport ground of La Muraz!
  Mini-football tournament on the sports ground starting at 9am this Saturday. If you do not play come and watch the various teams fighting in a good mood typical of this sport event! From 6pm onwards the final and award-giving followed by the friendship drink.

• 5th edition of the mini-football tournament of Saleves

• A little animated market on this Friday afternoon!
  On this Friday the little market with fruits, vegetables and cheese will take place. Also, there will be a stall of “Articraft of the world” fair trade.

• Freshen-up at the nursery school!
  Taking advantage of the summer some major works have been completed in the premises of the initial building and will be beneficial to the small and middle sections.
• Recruiting for summer jobs
  In summer in July and August (possibly in June and September also) some jobs are usually offered to several students, job seekers, seniors, in order to achieve various tasks such as cleaning jobs, painting, flower and green spaces watering etc...
• Dump for bulky items
  We inform you that the Community of communes Arve and Salève will place at your disposal some garbage skips for bulky items (fridge, cooker, mattress, scrap, etc…) this Saturday 24 April 2010 from 8.00am to 6.00pm only.
• The little market on Fridays, it’s starting again!
  Do come round this Friday 9 April on the ground sport from 4pm onwards ! The little market on Friday afternoon will have the same look as before winter.

• A notice of night investigations!
  The Syndicat of Bellecombe is on the verge of proceeding to a study/diagnosis of the cleaning-up network in the following areas : the center of the village, les Biolettes, Chez Déperraz, Champ Bolliet.
• The colourful children’s carnival!
  Difficult to miss the animation! Over a hundred and fifty people played the game and noisily strolled about on this Saturday afternoon to celebrate Carnival.
• A second operation of individual compost containers available.
  Some requests remaining unsatisfied the first time and considering the success then the decision has been made to propose another delivery of individual compost containers to the village inhabitants.

• La Muraz townhall is recruiting.
  An administrative assistant for the position of townhall secretary (to replace the current person due to retire within the next few months).
  Post to be filled : second half of 2010.

• The Mayor’s address with a year 2010 full of projects !
  On the last day in January in front of Senator Jean-Claude Carle, the regional Councillor Maurice Sonnerat, the mayors from the area and a crowd formed of inhabitants, heads of the village associations, the school headmistress and staff the Mayor Noël Jacquemoud made his address in the new village hall.
• Something new on the website. To check without moderation.
  It is the latest fashion for the website with its New Year message and a stream of seasonal pictures, waterfall, heart of the village and snow-capped mountains.
• A day of cross-country skiing for the children of the commune school.
  The beginning of school for the year 2010 went rather well : the snow arrived on the first day of the cross-country skiing outings planned on the plateau of Plaine-Joux.
• My beautiful fir tree, king of the village…
  On the townhall initiative fir trees have been offered to the main road residents in the center of the village.
• Distribution of hampers for the elderly of the village!
  For the holidays the representatives and members of the Communal Centre for Social Action have defied the rain to proceed to the usual distribution of hampers for the elderly aged 65 and over.
