Transformation des locaux de la fromagerie bientôt terminée.

Les locaux situés en étage du bâtiment de l’ancienne fromagerie sont actuellement en pleine mutation et l’ensemble des travaux de réfection en logements devrait se terminer au cours du premier semestre 2008.

15 January 2008. Refurbishment of the former dairy premises soon completed. The premises located upstairs within the building of the former dairy are currently undergoing a major change and the whole of the refurbishment work should be completed during the first semester of the year 2008. As a reminder, the dairy premises were bought from the dairy co-operative in La Muraz in 2002, while any production had already stopped since the late nineties. This purchase had been motivated in the first place in a spirit of memory, considering the generation of farmers in the seventies. It was the time when agriculture in the uplands with milk as main resource would feed 70 to 80 families in the village. In 2008 only eight milk producers are still active. The first part of the refurbishment took place in the dairy premises, then transformed into a garage and a cellar. These cellars have been rented for three years to ensure an income, thus making up for the various expenses involved. Council flats will be built out of the first floor area and the attic of the former dairy : a one-bedroom and a couple of two-bedrooms appartments. Wth regards to the ground floor this still remains to be decided : restaurant, country inn or just some shops.
