The children go skiing!

As every winter and for many years the children of the village school resume the skiing outings.

For the first two months of the year with a really good snow cover the sliding sports (cross-country skiing and Alpine skiing) are scheduled on the sports days. The pupils of the first and second years of primary school practice cross-country skiing while the children into their third, fourth and fifth years of primary school enjoy downhill skiing. Cross-country skiing takes place in Plaine-Joux, downhill skiing in Les Brasses, all outings being accompanied by volunteers or authorized parents travelling in a bus with one outing per week. Instructors from the French skiing school supervise the children for a training follow-up. Financed jointly by the town hall, the Association of Pupils’ Parents and a part of the yearly budget allocated for each class these outings make the pupils happy and are in line with the programme.
